Apple releases the official version of iOS 13.4.1: Fixing problems such as iPhone can’t video

Today, Apple officially released iOS 13.4.1/iPadOS 13.4.1, less than two weeks after the previous iOS 13.4, and from the point of view of version upgrades, this system should only fix some bugs .

This update addresses an issue where devices running iOS 13.4 were unable to make FaceTime calls with devices running iOS 9.3.6 and earlier or OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 and earlier. It also fixes a bug in the Settings app that could cause a failure when selecting the Bluetooth feature from the Quick Actions menu on the home screen.

The FaceTime issue was discovered shortly after the release of iOS 13.4 and macOS 10.15.4, which prevented iPhones, iPads and Macs running these updates from being able to upgrade from older devices such as iPad 2, iPad 3rd generation , iPhone 4S, 1st generation iPad mini and 5th generation iPod touch and other devices to make or receive FaceTime calls.

Here are the full release notes for the iOS 13.4.1 update:

iOS 13.4.1 includes bug fixes for the iPhone.

Fixed an issue that prevented devices running iOS 13.4 from participating in FaceTime calls with devices running iOS 9.3.6 and earlier or OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 and earlier.

Resolved a bug in the Settings app where selecting the Bluetooth feature in the Quick Actions menu on the Home screen would fail.

The iPadOS 13.4.1 update fixes the same two issues, but addresses a third bug that could cause the new 11 and 12 to appear after the torch button in Control Center or the torch button in the lock screen is tapped .The flashlight of the 9-inch iPad Pro model cannot be turned on.

From the current point in time, iOS 13.4.1 may be the last update to the iOS 13 operating system as Apple prepares to transition work to iOS 14.
